What are the types of errors messages that can occur and what do they mean?

# Error 101 – Destination MSISDN out of range

 

The destination number is not identified to any operators covered by TransferTo.

•          The operator not into our coverage

•          Destination number is incorrect (missing the country code for instance)

 

In the case that you are sure that the number is correct and covered on our side, escalate the case to the TransferTo support team for further investigation.

 

 

# Error 104 – MSISDN in blacklist

 

The destination number is currently blacklisted due to past fraudulent activities.

 

 

# Error 204 – Destination account not prepaid or not valid

 

The transactions to the recipient number are being directly refused by the destination operator as this account is identified on the operator’s side as not being a prepaid or valid recipient account.

 

 

# Error 207 – Transaction amount limit exceeded

 

In some specific cases, traffic limitations are set on the operators sides, when one of these limits is reached, it will return the error code 207 from our system.

 

These limitations are on the operators’ sides and not controlled by TransferTo.

 

Some example are:

 

- Indosat Indonesia operator’s end, the customer must wait at least 5 mins before sending another transfer to the same recipient account.

 

- Indian operators’ end, the customer must wait 3 mins before sending another transfer of the same amount to the same recipient account.

 

- Orange Africa, the recipient account is limited to a maximum rechargeable amount of 30 Euros per week and 60 Euros per month.

 

 

# Error 213 – Duplicated transaction

 

Not enough time passed between your first and second request sent to the same recipient. Please retry some time later.

 

 

# Error 214 – Topup refused

 

The transaction has been refused by the destination operator for a reason that was not specifically provided, it is usually the generic error returned.

 

•          Destination number not valid for recharge

•          Service outage temporarily faced on the operator

 

We advise to try again at a later time and eventually contact us if the problem persists.

 

 

# Error 216 – Destination number not activated

 

The transactions to the recipient number are being refused by the destination operator as this account number is identified on the operator’s side as not being an active account.

 

 

# Error 218 – Request timeout

 

The transaction was time-out and refused due to the long duration of the topup processing.

The reasons of the refusal can be the following:

 

•          VPN / connectivity issue with the operator

•          Long processing time on some specific destinations (China, Kenya …)

 

We advise to try again at a later time and eventually contact us if the problem persists.

 

 

# Error 221 – Fraud suspicion

 

Our anti fraud mechanism might be triggered when several consecutive requests are sent to the same destination number in a short gap of time

 

The number is been freed after a certain time.

# Error 222 – Number barred from refill

 

The error code 222 is returned when the recipient has been blocked from refill directly by the destination operator, it prevents our system from reloading the account.

 

The end user must call the operator’s customer service to unblock it, once done, transactions to this number via our system should be available.

 

 

# Error 224 – Invalid length of destination MSISDN

 

This error is returned when the destination number length doesn’t match (shorter or longer) the correct mobile number format of the country.

 

Kindly double check the destination number to ensure that the format is correct.

 

 

# Errors 230 “Recipient reached maximum topup number” & 231 “Recipient reached maximum topup amount”

 

The error code 230 “Recipient reached maximum topup number” is returned when a recipient reaches his/her limitation on the topup allowed to receive in a certain gap of time.

 

01 Day(s) => 10

07 Day(s) => 15

30 Day(s) => 40

 

Similarly, error code 231 indicates that the limitation on value of transactions to the same recipient was reached.

 

Maximum value of transactions to the same recipient:

 

01 Day(s) => max 100 USD

07 Day(s) => max 150 USD

30 Day(s) => max 200 USD

 

Every destination number has a daily/weekly/monthly limit on the number and the total amount of top-ups they can receive. These limitations were developed in conjunction with our operators and are based on a rolling period.

 

 

# Error 301 – input_value out of range or invalid product

 

The amount that was specified in the recharge is not valid on the operator’s offer. Please retry with another amount available.

# Error 310 – Denomination blocked

 

The amount that the customer tried to recharge is no longer available on the operator’s offer. Please retry with another amount available.

 

 

# Error 999 – Unknown error
